Job description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an accurate General Ledger (GL) on an ongoing basis.
  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Perform / conduct weekly schedule and floorplan audits.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for all external stakeholders are completed and remitted.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of all GLs and schedules.
  • Process Bi-weekly, Semi Monthly, and monthly payrolls. Review and process new employee paperwork.
  • Perform month-end expense analysis and entries.
  • Review and post new, used, and wholesale car deals. Oversee inventory audit counts.
  • Manage the accounting clerk’s workload and ensure Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts are reconciled. Ensure daily deposits are made / reconciled.
  • Maintain accurate records and financial reporting. Provide monthly reporting to the Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years Automotive Full-Cycle Accounting is ideal
  • Payroll processing knowledge and skills are considered an asset
  • Proficiency in full cycle accounting, with working knowledge of accounting systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel. Experience with PBS an asset
  • Effective leadership and management capabilities. Trustworthy, ethical, and reliable
  • Exceptional ability to thrive in high-pressure situations; adaptive, demonstrating resolve.
  • Seeking a driven self-started with strong organizational and communication skills

As a key member of accounting team, the Accounting Manager oversees all accounting procedures within the dealership. This position demands direct Automotive Controller / Accounting experience. A relevant diploma or degree in the field of accounting is strongly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $51,876.01-$99,420.76 per year
